The Block Builders Group is a custom builder that specializes in the building of custom homes, whole house renovations, and additions. We have been responding to the building needs of our clients for 30 years, and are active members of NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry) and NAHB (National Association of Home Builders). We have been honored over the years with many annual local, regional and national awards for our projects. Our firm has also been named as one of the top builders in the Washington DC Metro Area by Washingtonian Magazine in the May 2009 issue. We also carry the designation of Certified Green Professional as certified by the NAHB.
President Tony Paulos, a native Washingtonian, founded the firm in 1990. The mission of the firm was to offer clients a first-class level of service, integrity, and reliability along with superior craftsmanship, and to provide an alternative to clients who were looking for a builder that truly embraces a higher standard, and will go the extra mile to ensure a consistently superior level of quality and service.
The Block Builders Group is licensed, bonded and insured in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and the District of Columbia. Our firm has completed projects throughout the Washington, DC Metro Area, including Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Kensington, Potomac, Falls Church, Arlington, Great Falls, Leesburg, McLean, Vienna, Capitol Hill, Cleveland Park, Palisades, as well as Baltimore and Annapolis.

Once the construction is underway, one of our project managers is assigned to the project full time until completion, along with a team of our expert craftsmen; this approach assures our clients of total quality control. In addition to the full-time on-site supervision, our production manager is working alongside to help guarantee our performance and schedule. Bi-weekly meetings and dependable ongoing communication with the client during the process helps to keep everyone completely informed and up to date on the progress of the project. Our efficient scheduling and attention to even the smallest details allow us to deliver the finished product in a timely fashion and within the promised deadline.
